NGO is an abbreviated term for Non-Government Organisation. This means that although the organisation may accept financial support from government bodies; the ownership, management, employees, volunteers and funding distribution is completely non-politically related. NGO’s are a separate body not connected to, or influenced by, any government related party. Generally speaking they are formed through groups of passionate, likeminded people all wanting to contribute and create a positive change in the world.
